TBM for Foster Care Crisis Intervention Training for Foster Parents and Support Staff
“Therapeutic Behavior Management for Foster Care” (TBM/FosterCare)is an 8-hour course whichapplies the concepts of TACT2 and TBM to home settings, specifically designed for foster care parents and support staff.
TBM/FosterCare helps foster parents respond effectively when their foster children act up. The highly practical course teaches them to separate deliberate misbehavior from true emotional crisis, and respond accordingly to each type.
Because foster care interventions usually take place in a home setting, it can be hard to maintain a "professional distance." So TBM/FosterCare also offers valuable insights into adult anger traps, avoiding power struggles, and stay-calm strategies. TBM/FosterCare also offers optional training in self-protection and holds.
