This year, become a certified TACT2 or TBM Staff Trainer

The most cost-effective way to certify your staff is by training a small team of your most experienced people as TACT2 trainers.

Training of Trainers (ToT). It requires four (4) very intensive days to be certified as a full TACT2 trainer (two days for verbal skills only). During our ToT, candidates will:

(1) Gain an in-depth understanding of TACT2's trauma-informed content;

(2) Master solid skills in safe physical intervention techniques;

(3) Practice successful teaching/coaching strategies for both; and

(4) Be prepared to provide initial certification in TACT2 to your staff.

Annual Trainer Recertification. All TACT2 Trainers are required to complete a 6-hour annual recertification with a Master or Senior Trainer. Each year, we develop new recertification material which reviews core content in the context of topical issues such as school safety, mental health awareness, or suicide prevention. During their recertification, existing trainers will:

(1) Receive a thorough orientation to this year's new recert material;

(2) Refresh their skills in safe physical intervention techniques; and

(3) Be fully prepared to recertify your staff in TACT2 using the same content.

COVID-19 (updated 2.20.25). At present we have no COVID-19 related restrictions. However, we believe that it is wise to be cautious when people are indoors and in close contact, and encourage those who are concerned to wear face masks. Any participant who shows cold- or flu-like symptoms may be asked to take a rapid antigen self-test (provided) . Those who test positive will be rescheduled or receive a full refund or credit.

TBM Cross-Training: In about one hour, TACT2 and TBM Trainers may cross-train in any version of TBM for one-time fee of $250/person/program, including a new trainer manual, one workbook, and PowerPoint access. TBM/Autism requires 4 hours with a one-time fee of $400.
